About Me:

As an educator and therapist, I have always valued developing and investing in trusting, supportive connections between people. After teaching for several years and managing addiction treatment facilities and non-profit programs, this intrinsic passion led me to form a practice where I work with children, teens,

adults, couples, and families.

Credentials & Education

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 76693)

  • Masters of Social Work from The University of Southern California

  • B.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Education/Human Development from Sonoma State University

  • Certified in Levels 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Triple P positive parenting program

Previous Experience

I’ve helped people of all ages, genders, and orientations and strive to form relationships with my clients built on trust, collaboration, and respect. For 11 years, as a Clinical Social Worker, I've provided counseling services in multiple settings: private practice, non-profits, and chemical-dependency treatment facilities. Also, as a teacher, school counselor, wellness educator, and mental health consultant  I've served in public and independent schools (elementary, middle and high school).

My Approach to Treatment

My therapeutic style is centered around respect and empathy with the following goals in mind; helping you find relief from your pain and become more aware of your feelings and patterns of relating to yourself and others. Drawing from psychodynamic and existential theories, I use an integrative approach to explore and understand your life experiences, how they have shaped and impacted you, and ultimately led you to seek therapy.

About My Private Practice

For 11 years I have provided therapeutic services in Silicon Valley, Marin and West L.A. During this time it has been a pleasure to work with a variety of inspiring and remarkable people. Together, as we explored what inner challenges we needed to address, we deepened our understanding, acceptance, and appreciation of the individual- who they once were, who they are now, and who they want to become. I have come to view psychotherapy as a brave and worthwhile endeavor. For clients, change, even positive change, can be daunting at times but it also brings great rewards. To go through such a journey in the presence of another, is truly courageous.
